Why would you need to "cleanup" history ? It's there precisely to know what happened on your system. Otherwise it won't reflect, well, past history!

first because i what to .. second is because i think it is what is making my hdd get smaller over time .
my system hdd is a 120 gb and it reads as 105gb after ubuntu was installed back at 8.04 or 7.10 . now at 10.04 and 10.10 it reads at 97gb . actionparsnip tried to solve this a couple of years ago , and could not .
[ It's there precisely to know what happened on your system ] == isn`t this what system logs are for ?
i am the only user of this pc and started using ubuntu back at 7.04 . i don`t need this history .
