laptop crashed while installing, now i can't download anything from the software centre

Asked by Laura Pavey

I was in the middle of installing something from the software centre when my laptop crashed. when i turned it back on, i went back on the software centre and when i tried to install it again a message came up that said:
The installation could have failed because of an error in the corresponding software package or it was cancelled in an unfriendly way. You have to repair this before you can install or remove any further software.

the problem is that i don't know how to fix the problem.

Hi!

Open the System --> Administration --> Synaptic Package Manager, than Edit --> Fix broken packages.
