how do i install miro on ubuntu

Isn't there a version already in your default repository? What version of Ubuntu are you using?

From terminal you "might" just be able to run "sudo apt-get install miro"

I did find a PPA with the 3.0.1-1 version at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas?name_filter=miro - this is the same version that is in Lucid by the way.

If your using karmic

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pcf/miro-releases
