Snaps mounted twice

Asked by Michal Kopečný

Hi,

Is there a reason for snaps being mounted twice ? For example:

/var/lib/snapd/snaps/skype_336.snap on /snap/skype/336 type squashfs (ro,nodev,relatime,errors=continue,threads=single)
/var/lib/snapd/snaps/skype_336.snap on /snap/skype/336 type squashfs (ro,nodev,relatime,errors=continue,threads=single,x-gdu.hide,x-gvfs-hide)
/var/lib/snapd/snaps/vlc_3721.snap on /snap/vlc/3721 type squashfs (ro,nodev,relatime,errors=continue,threads=single)
/var/lib/snapd/snaps/vlc_3721.snap on /snap/vlc/3721 type squashfs (ro,nodev,relatime,errors=continue,threads=single,x-gdu.hide,x-gvfs-hide)

I am using Noble and I think it wasn't always like this. Also not sure if this is related but sometimes system hangs on shutdown while trying to umount snap volumes.

BR,
Michal

I suggest you report a bug. Noble is not ready and not stable.

Thank you for your answer.

I am going to wait for Noble to be released :)
The reason I asked in the first place is that I am not familiar with snaps and therefore not sure if this is a bug or a normal behaviour.

Michal
