Comment 336 for bug 1575053

I am amazed how long this bug has been open; it is one of the major reasons why I entirely purge snap from my system when I install Ubuntu.

I moved from Windows to Ubuntu for freedom of choice. The bug described here removes my freedom to organize my files how I want to. It is making me question whether I continue with Ubuntu in the future or move to a different Linux flavor.
