smplayer- dots and arrows on screen

smplayer gone haywire, dots and arrows onscreen during playback. tried reinstalling, checked codecs, updated, -f install, checked dependencies. now i'm stuck!!
totem and vlc are fine, just smplayer with this fault. Please help.

DOH! sorted it, visualise motion vectors was ticked, unticked it and problem sorted!
