Skype Application in 12.04

I can not send files using Skype on 12.04. The other side is MS Windows. As soon as I select a file to send, the application either hangs up or crashes immediately. Does not matter how big a file is. Even a few KB file crashes the Skype application.

Interestingly the other person on MS Windows can successfully send the file and Ubuntu can accept the same. Any one else faced the same issue.??

Also tried downgraded versions of Skype but result remains the same.

this sounds to me like a bug. Please report it that dev's sould take a look at it.
