Problem with web cam

Does either run in cheese. Skype is a poor choice to use to test.

Funny how it doesn't work in Skype but works in cheese, huh? Skype is notorious for making webcams that are fine and working appear to NOT work. It is garbage and very frustrating, yet everyone uses it. The sooner it dies the better.

So...the problem is this. I open skype, i select the video setting in skype and find my internal webcam (crystal eye) withour its real name; i select this webcam and test it; during the the test i see me in the box test but sometimes the pc crush fully (the computer is turned on, but everything is blocked including the pointer of mouse and I have to stop the system from the sleep button to restart it). If i try to videocall i have the same problem (system crush) or only webcam crush (my picture freezes).

This is the result on terminal:
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

And when I press enter it open automatically skype

sudo apt-get install libv4l-0

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype
