how to download skype on ubuntu

I am unable to download skype on Ubuntu linux software.Please guide me as to how i need to download it

Just go to the Skype Linux page - http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/linux/post-download/

Download the .deb. (32 bit or 64 bit as appropriate) Right click on the .deb and install with Gdebi.

OK it says 8.10, but ignore that.

skype is available in the software center which is under the applications menu.

Open the software center and search for Skype then install. It will also help to install the Skype extra packages for Linux in the software center also.
