What program do you use to "connect to the Internet"?

I have tried yahoo and gmail. I have tried following the steps in the manual and set up VLC. That got me lost. Unable to find anything that will allow my webcam to be see while I am chatting or that will allow me to see others I am chatting with.

Hope this helps.

I know enough to cause other to want to pull out their hair.

Are you using the web-client of yahoo or the pre-installed empathy client? Did you try Skype?

you may need to run a workaround for a bug in skype.

Try opening a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) then paste the following command.

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype
