10.10: Skype

Asked by peter

Hi

I installed Skype from the Ubuntu Software Center. I would create a new Skype user. I captured all the needed data but the button Sign up remained disabled.

What can I do? Thanks in advance.

There should be a link "dont have a Skype Name yet" when you start skype. Click it and it will take you to their online registration service.

Thanks.

I clicked this link but it didn't take me to the online registration service. A new window opened and the window is called Create a new Skype account. And in this window the button Sign up will not enable.

Also, your username must be at least 6 chars. "Peter" would be too short,a nd undoubtedly already taken :)
