how do i start using skype after i have installed it?

i have installed skype 2.1.0.8.81-1 in my linux ubuntu ....now i dont know where to actually begin using it because the page that says "Installed" has no information regarding "start using" or "sign in" 0or anything like that. I do have an account on skype because i use it on windows but here its i do not understand how to proceed with actually using skype. I need help with finding the dialogue box that says "Login and Username/Password" ...
