How to use iballc8.0 webcam for skype videos on ubuntu?

I have an iball c8.0 web cam. I have been provided with a CD too. I am using ubuntu OS. I cannot install the software /webcam on my PC for using the webcam for skype videos. Is there any other application/software which will enable my webcam on ubuntu? Thanx .
