Hi

I am trying to install SKYPE for unbubtu 8:0 but it won't install. i get an error message Dependency is not satisfiable:libasound2

does anyone have a fix for this?

I recommend installing Ubuntu 10.04 and then following this procedure:

And here is an alternative procedure for Ubuntu 10.04:

Ubuntu 8.10 is not supported anymore, as described in the following release calendar:

End of life date for Ubuntu 8.10 was April 30, 2010.
