skype camera not working

Hi all
Im not a computer expert , but am using Ubuntu (Lucid Lynx) and have the latest distribution upgrade 10.04 ,
and am using a logitech quick cam , it was working fine untill I upgraded to 10.04 skype still works but no camera images
are shown when I test video devices , can anyone help with a not too involved fix , or does it mean I need a new camera,
