Update to 0.26a, plus music-pack, plus universe?

Asked by Phil Bordelon

I'm one of the upstream developers of Endgame: Singularity. I was wondering if the package in Ubuntu could be updated to the newer releases in Debian, namely 0.26a.

One of the big changes in the new version (0.25 to 0.26) is that all of the content in the game now meets the DFSG, which means that ostensibly singularity could be moved to universe and out of multiverse.

We also now have a (rather large, but very nice) music pack.

Because of this change in content, Debian now ships 'singularity' (which contains what is currently singularity and singularity-data in Ubuntu, and in older releases of Debian) along with a 'singularity-music' package.

I understand if there are more important things to do for Hardy, but it would be really nice to have a newer version of the game available for the world of Ubuntu to play. :) (I run Ubuntu on my laptop and my father's machine, if that helps any ...)

every 6 months ubuntu is 'synced' with debien, essentially all the packages are updated to the debian ones (and whatever else changes debain has made such as changing two singularity and singularitiy-data packages to one combined package), rest assured that if debian has what you want now, 8.04 will have it too :)
