Unable to duplex scan samsung scx-4835fr

My harddrive died and so I had to do a fresh install. Everything was working as it should (i.e. duplex scanning was working) however with the exact same setup (except for a new ssd) I am struggling to get this working again. I must be missing something but unsure what it is.

OS: Debian Buster, KDE Plasma, Dark Breeze
Simple-Scan version 3.26.2

Again same OS version and same Simple-Scan version as before the HDD crashed. This also worked before without issue.

Debian isn't supported here or in any of the Ubuntu support channels. It's support community is entirely separate from Ubuntu's
