Epson Workforce 610 scanner driver

Running Ubuntu 11.04 and downloaded and installed epson-inkjet-printer-stylus-office-tx610fw-series_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_i386.deb from avasys. XSane still does not recognise scanner, what else do I need to do? Thank you very much for any assistance. --glenn

You will have to download the scanner driver from Avasys:

http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/spc/DL2.do

This driver comes in two parts, iscan and iscan-data (the ltdl7 version)
