How to install Samsung CLX-3185fw on AMD64bit Ubuntu 11.10

Have installed recommended settings retro installed driver clx-3175 but no scanner and no colour. Have found solutions for 32bit versions but these don't seem to work. Any suggestions? Please!! Only interested in solutions or work-arounds (don't need to know what I should have bought). Thanks helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; lsusb
