Unable to use scanner on Ubuntu 11.10
I have a Genius Color Page Vivid 1200 scanner that works fine on my machine with Ubuntu 10.04, but when I try to use it with Ubuntu 10.10 or 11.10 I get the following message with the simple scan app.:
'Unable to connect to scanner'
I get a similar message if I try to use XSane program. This is the lsusb result with 11.10

Please note that the 11.10 OS is located in the Kingston memory stick above. Any help will be appreciated.
