https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OCR

Says:

ocrfeeder-cli -i input1.jpg -f html -o output.htm

Is this what you wanted?

If you use imagemagick to convert the image to a TIF (not a TIFF) file, you can use:

tesseract ~/input.tif ~/Desktop/output

The 'output' file will automatically get given the .txt extension

Can you help with this problem?
