where is the 'Temporary Directory' setting

Can't email from documents, it is saying....Unable to open the temporary file /home/alexader/Documents/Scanned%20Document.jpg. Check your 'Temporary Directory' setting.

Hi, what type of transaction are you using? /home/alexander/Documents is not a temporary directory, it is a directory where Ubuntu save your documents data. Let me know, many thanks.
