help to install HP Scanner-Scanjet

the install can not find the auto run. Synaptic does not help at all either.

Which model of Scanjet?

The install? Are you trying to install with a Windows CD? That will not work.

Model 4670 Hp Scanjet--oh, yes the windows CD! Hm, so why not and then what can I do?

the 2nd CD Ihave is still version2.6 for windows version 8,0 for macintosh and 3 others for Mac OS

Most HP products work fine in Ubuntu, just plug them in and away you go.

The HP Scanjet 4670 is listed by SANE as unsupported in Linux. See below:

The CDs you have will not make it work in Ubuntu or any other Linux.

If you want to purchase a new device for your needs, I suggest a multifunction device that will print as well as scan. You can ask here before you buy and someone will check to make sure that it will work.
