Asked by Bob Schwier

I am trying to install an acerscan 300F to a DellN100 with Ubuntu 10.04 through an Adaptec 2940 card.

I can find drivers for the Adaptec but not the Acer.

Basically the one liner says it all.

I know that the Acer is archaic but I have to have a scanner on line ASAP and I have neither the cash nor time to do a buying expedition.

I have not installed the driver (ahc.4) yet as I just down loaded it and printed out the instructions.

simple scan or xsane should be able to make your scanner work, especially a lot of the older ones.

Can you help with this problem?
