Cannot scan using kodak 5250

I just bought the kodak 5250 and I just want to say a very heartfelt thank you to the individual(s) who wrote the code that enables this printer to work. But my problem is I cannot get it to scan. Info on this problem is very scarce. Though I did find one small page but it did not include my scanner. I checked sourceforge, which is where I obtained the printer drivers, but had no luck so far. I am running ubuntu 10.04 for my laptop and I love this operating system, so could someone please lend me a hand, point me in the right direction. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Yes I did. It offered little help. That was the small page I was referring to in my question. I looked for my printer/scanner and it was not listed. =[

If Kodak doesn't support a driver, I guess, it would be difficult to find one.
