Canoscan LIDE 200 not detected

Just installed Ubuntu 10.10. My Canoscan LIDE 200 is not detected. I've downloaded the latest Sane git package, tried to install it, rebooted.. no luck.

Can you reboot and login with the device detatched and then run:

lsusb

can you then attach the device and power it on, wait 10 seconds then run:

dmesg | tail; dmesg

copy the WHOLE output and paste it here

Thanks for your help, but I found http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1238578&highlight=libusb-dev; once I reinstalled libusb-dev and edited 40-libsane.rules and rebooted it started fine.
