Simple Scan - How do you do multi-page scans and save the result in one pdf?

I can't seem to work out how to do this.
There is an option to scan all the pages but my scanner is a flatbed without a document tray and all that happens is that simple scan scans the same page over and over again.

Each scan is appended to the document, so pressing the scan button for each page should do this. Select PDF from the save dialog when all pages scanned.
