How to get the latest version in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS?

Asked by clonephone82

Hey Uwe,

If I install the sigrok tools via:

sudo apt-get install sigrok

Everything works fine but I only get old version i think. For example pulsview is version 0.2.0. So ist there a easy way to get newer binaries?

many thanks.
cheers

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later.

Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution so packages will be left if there are no significant issues in the current version. This is especially true in the LTS releases of Ubuntu

Can you help with this problem?
