I am trying to upload edited images from shotwell to my facebook but the images that I select are the originals, where do I find the edited versions so I may upload those. Also I have edited images in Gimp, where would I find those?

Try back tracking. Open Gimp back up and then an image. Save again and see where the image is stored.

Depends! If you just hit "save" in Gimp, Shotwell will recognize that you've modified the copy of the image it sent to the Gimp. When you publish the photo to Facebook (or any other service) it will publish the modified image.

If you did a "save as" in Gimp and saved it elsewhere, it depends where you saved it to. By default Shotwell scans the Pictures folder and adds anything in there to its library. So the image may exist elsewhere inside of Shotwell. Or if you saved it outside of the Pictures folder, you'd have to add that modified version back to the Shotwell library and then upload it.

Hope that clears things up...
