Can't find imported photos. Reimporting gives duplictae photos not imported.

I can find the last import photos but then after another import the photos dont show up in events or by date??

The Last Import photos should also be in Events. You can right-click on a photo in Last Import and select 'View Event for Photo'. If that option is grayed out the photo is in No Event (the last Event, for undated photos).
