How do I remove/delete pictures from SD-Cards/Camera Mass Storage Camara from within shotwell?

Asked by David Ayers

I'm running Maverick which has Shotwell version 0.7.2 (I haven't checked how Natty behaves).

I didn't delete a set of Photos while importing them since I meant to pass them on to someone else later. Now they remain on the SD-Card and I wish to delete some of them individually. Of course I can delete from via nautilus but I would expect to be able to delete from Shotwell as well. Should this reported as a wish list bug report?

David,

thanks for the suggestion. Shotwell today can only delete photos from SD cards or cameras at import time, not after the fact. On the Shotwell team we already have an active feature request for this:

http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/2257

This won't be in the upcoming 0.9 release, however. Maybe in 0.10.

The "delete pic from my camera without importing" feature never saw the light of day; at least v 0.20.2 does not seem to have any way to delete pics from a USB-storage camera.

Is somebody still working (or at least thinking) about this?
