Dont touch my folder structure.

Hi, i have mounted my photo folder from nas via NFS to /home/user/Pictures. I want to keep folder structure. How can do that without overwriting shotwell schema Y/m/d/whatever

When you import the photo folder, select 'Import in Place' if prompted. In this case the photo files stay in place and the directory structure is not affected.

If the photo folder is contained in the Library Location (in Edit->Preferences), you will not be prompted and the photos will be imported without affecting the directory structure.

The only time when Shotwell will create its own directory structure is when you import from somewhere other than the Library Location and select 'Copy Photos'.

I was little bit scared when i mounted my files to home/picture folder and when i checked monitor library, then info about automatic import appears. I stoped it and instead asked

Yes - automatic import will import your photos without affecting the directory structure.
