Changing passwords...
Using a Terminal session stated password changed, however, old password was still in effect. Using GUI screen, I have tried to change my Admin password, all appeared to go well as far as data entry, however, some three hours later STILL not completed and busy icon continues to spin. Bug possibly or what? So now it seems this Admin account has two different passwords...

boot to root recovery mode and you can change your passwords there without issue
