"Enter password for keyring 'default' to unlock"--didn't set this up; how do I reset?

Asked by Benjamin Toll

While Using UbuntuStudio and software-center, I am promted to "Enter password for keyring 'default' to unlock" by a systems pop-up. I do not remeber setting this up at all, so I do not know the password. What is it? Do I need it? How do I reset the password on it?

Set a blank password, it won't bother you again

I ended up removing the keyring as I found in another suggestion. It was funny though before I entered my problem I could not find the plethora of people who had the same problem. same search as before i entered my question produced tons of people with the same problem, but before nothing. strainged. I think killing the keyring solved the problem though. It already had a password that I didn't set unless it happened in one of those popup blurs while I was doing something else. I have to look at the keys to type fast, so I may have set it then, but it should be fixed now. Testing now....looks fixed.
