changing passwords cause i forgot them or been changed without permission

is it possible to change all passwords or reset system cause i cant upgrade plugins or install upgrades

Hold SHIFT at boot, select select recovery mode, then select root. You can now run:

passwd foo; reboot

change foo for yourusername. eg:

passwd andy; reboot

You can now log in and use sudo to change the other accounts you may have if you need.
