Locked User account after I disabled a password, password still there?

Asked by kittie cortez

I asked a question earlier about changing the background I was trying to install Simple LightDM Manager was going good till.. this is where I stopped.

foxhound@foxhound-Aspire-one:~$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa: claudiocn / slm && sudo apt-get update
[sudo] password for foxhound:

it needed a password so I notice when I try to type it, nothing appeared(no text) and I just entered anyways and it said it was wrong..maybe cause nothing was being typed anyways eh? so I decided I will just take off my password so I won't get this.... I went to edit my user account and put password as none. Then tried to do the following above again. Same thing...but I disable the password...and it is still asking. So I went ahead and decided thats dum..I will just put my password back then and in order to put a password back I need to put the current password...(which I disabled) so makes no sense? now I can't put a password because I have no current password to put a password!!!! (-_-) very fustrating poopieness. If any one has an idea what happend and how I can fix this.. much appreciated. Thanks
