i cant access to my administrator account cause i deleted my password

 i tryed the reeboot and in thiar i got when i put in root chgpasswd sumthing about cannot lock /etc/group

Hold shift at boot and select recovery mode, then select root. You can now run:

passwd name

And switch name for your actual username, you can then set your password and run:

reboot You can now log in as your username and new password.

ok i got it but to do the fix it was not geting fixst in the holding down the shift kee, i got it repaired in recovery be for i log on i went and chekt the recovery kee and then i found the passwd chang comand and that took it thair thanks .
