Installed ubuntu 11-10 and it asked me for a password

    I upgraded to ubuntu 11-10 and it asked me for a password to sign in as myself. None of my known passwords will work. I can sign in as a guest but would like to use my personal account. How do I fix this or change the password to one I will know?

You can reset the password by following this procedure:
http://psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword

If the shift key doesn't work for you (it should), try the other shift key, or escape.
