this is the site i used and followed the reset procedure it suggested. the message read

passwd: authentication token manipulation error
passwd: password unchanged

ubuntu was installed for me by a friend. they are not aware of another password i may need to use. i have not been using it for long and am struggling to get to grips with it. any help or advice is very gratefully recieved :)

I am having this same error. Can we just go back to version 10.10. I love ubuntu but Unity sucks.

Can you help with this problem?
