I have forgotten my administrator password for my ubuntu account cant sign into my laptop.

If you boot into the live CD, you can overwrite the administrator password by modfying the /etc/shadow file, where the passwords encrypted value is stored; Its a bit tricky though, especially if you are unfamiliar with the terminal.

This is a tutorial for knoppix, though it should be very similar for ubuntu.
