Will this be updated?

Asked by John Bigboote

SeaMonkey 2.0 is ancient (comparable to FF 3). Will SeaMonkey 2.6 or even 2.7 (which was released today) be pushed to Maverick so that the package maintains parity with the Firefox 9 update that was recently released?

Maverick dies in April so I doubt it will be updated in the main repos as effots will be put elsewhere. If you want seamonkey 2.7 you can run:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:joe-nationnet/seamonkey-dev; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install seamonkey

And it will upgrade. I suggest you get to a newer release soon as Maverick will have ZERO support once it is EOL. Precise (12.04) will be released around the same time and is LTS (5 year support).

Can you help with this problem?
