How do you backup your keys?

How does one back up thier PRIVATE keys?
Does one just backup all of the files in ~/.gnupg ?

Depends on how secure the system is in general, e.g. encrypted partition or not, laptop or pc, downloads from unverified sources, password quality and so on.
However most important is to create a revocation key and at best keep it external.
##e.g. my backups are all on external storages.
