asking for password twice on login

I have just upgraded to ubuntu 1010 when I boot up I am asked for my password after entering it and clicking submit I am again asked for my password and I am then logged in. I have checked the box for automatic log in but no change. anyone any ideas?

Please tell is the second asked password a keyring password ?

Hi Marco.
message in login box is " Enter password keyring default" This comes up both times. Very annoying!

I'm sorry I'm probably being thick but I have the same issue of signing in twice on the "Keyring". Having followed this question and clicked on the link provided by Marcobra 2010-12-14 I seem to go back to the original link where I started.

I clicked on the "bug" link and it seems to relate to "Wine" which I use but the answer there is above my head. Other than that I can't find anything to solve the problem. Apologies if I'm missing something very obvious.
