hack

I'm very new to UBUNTU and with little knowledge of software.I was told that it's not possible to hack linux.But my orkut account was compromised today.My guess is that the guy who installed it has activated remote desktop viewing.How do i de-activate it?Also he knows my local and remote IP address besides primary and secondary DNS address(whatever it means).How else can someone know my gmail password?Plz help

go to system-preference-startup- application scroll down to remote desk top viewer un check it. go to system software and get one of the firewalls there ,then set up. change all your pass words include your system password and log in. you need to read this info http://www.gohacking.com/2008/01/hacking-orkut.html . and take action to prevent .. hope this all helps

you also need to go to system preference remote desk top click it the first line uncheck it .then go to system preference main menu scroll down to internet click look in the list for remote desktop unclick it,then go to preference and do the same . [[ use the two windows in the bottom right corner of the desktop to help make it easy to do all this.
