Return key gives me a diacritical e in Scribus

Asked by Mark Morehouse on 2012-05-18

I am using Scribus 1.4.0 on Windows 7. I am trying to create a catalogue of the fonts I have available and everything was going fine for 3 pages. Then halfway down the 3rd page, after typing a sample of the Dotum font, the return key starts typing a lower case e with a grave accent above it. But it seems the e is in Arial, not Dotum. Then I type a sample of DotumChe, hit return, and get the accented Arial e again.
I tried selecting just the e and changing the font to Arial Unicode, and that seemed to get rid of it.
Anyone know why this happened so I'll know how to avoid it in the future?
Are there certain fonts I shouldn't use in Scribus? (I'm used to working on a Mac, in InDesign, not a PC using Scribus).

How is that related to Ubuntu??

I Googled the problem I was having and it took me to another section on this site where others were reporting problems with Scribus.
No one else had this same problem, so I clicked on the "report a bug link".
When I tried to click to report the bug, I got a message asking if I was sure it was a bug and it suggested I come here to ask about it first.
So that's what I did.
I just thought maybe Scribus was written in Ubuntu.
If Scribus has no connections to Ubuntu, I apologize. I blame Google.

It is also available in Ubunt, but Firefox runs on Mac and WIndows so should users of Ubuntu post in Mac Forums....no,

Can you help with this problem?
