[sane] Benq s2w 3300u does not work with sane

Asked by Xan

My problem is that I have benq szw 3300 u scanner. According to snapscan page [http://snapscan.sourceforge.net/], I have to download u176v046.bin or u222v067.bin windows firmware and put it in /usr/share/sane/snapscan. Then I have to edit /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf.

I did it, and only I get that the scanner warms up. But no scan images.
When I run scanimage, I receive the error:

scanimage: open of device snapscan:libusb:002:002 failed: Error during device I/O

Any suggestions?
Perhaps it's a bad firmware?

Thanks a lot,
Xan.

PS: My snapscan.conf is like:

# Change to the fully qualified filename of your firmware file, if
# firmware upload is needed by the scanner
firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u176v046.bin
[...]

# Change to the fully qualified filename of your firmware file, if
# firmware upload is needed by the scanner
firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/u176v046.bin
[...]

I get the same error with firmware u222v067.bin (in snapscan web page it's commented that u222v067.bin or u176v046.bin are for this model).

Any suggestion?
Which output you needed for detecting bug?

Xan.
