drivers etc for Hp scanjet 3770

I am a new user of the Ubuntu system, computer will not find the HP scanjet 3770 that is pluged into one of the USB ports.
Has any one got the drivers etc required to operate this scanner ???

Did you try it via system==>preferences===>(standard) printer?
