HPscanjet 4670 driver for ubuntu

I would like to install the hpscanjet 4670 (vertical scanner) but I am not able to locate the related driver. The ubuntu's guide did not help in solving the problem.

Unfortunately, this scanner is not supported by SANE, see

They do not have a 'backend' i.e a driver, for it.

lists scanner supported by SANE, which is the software used by almost all Linux applications that interface with scanners and cameras.
