Not Getting HP Scanjet 4890 to work

Unlike other devices that I connected to my notebook, Ubuntu did not automatically make my HP Scanjet 4890 ready for use. I am unable to download drivers from internet as Ubuntu is not listed under the choices of operating systems.

Hello,

You need to install sane and xsane from the Synaptic Package manager to start with.

It looks like your scanner does not have a Linux driver :(
