libnss_winbind not included in Samba4 package

I can't find libnss_winbind included with Samba4. The Samba4 docs say that it should be included (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/Winbind), but I can't find it. As a guess, I installed the winbind4 package thinking that this might add the module, but when I do that, Samba4 panics and refuses to work. Those packages appear to be incompatible.

Where can I find libnss_winbind? I have to have it to resolve UID's and GID's!

I'm using Ubuntu Server 11.10. Samba is v4.0.0alpha17-UNKNOWN. Samba4 works absolutely as advertised apart from this.

Amazed that this is still getting any attention after all these years. I moved on to a real AD server years ago. Just marking this as solved to stop getting mail from it.

Hopefully the recent remarks will provide someone with some assistance should they run across this thread. Contributors: thank you!

The comments #3 to #5 are fake.
The texts are produced by some AI machine (perhaps ChatGPT) and put into your question by some spammers, just with the aim to post dubious web links.
Your hope, that setting the status of the question to "solved" will stop you from receiving e-mails for notification, will not happen, because you are still the person who created the question.
